About Us

laserfab about head

Laser Fabrication & Machine Co., Inc. began on April 1, 1997, as a three-person operation, with one laser cutting machine. After incorporating on July 1, 1998, our company has grown steadily, currently employing nearly 80 people. We now have three Mitsubishi lasers up to 6 x12, a waterjet, five CNC pressbrakes, CNC mills, CNC lathes, a CNC saw, a powder coat paint, a welding department staffed by certified welders and an assembly department.

From its beginnings in a rented warehouse space in 1997, Laser Fabrication has completed four expansion phases in the last 10 years, constructing three buildings that house its ever-growing infrastructure of equipment and people. The administrative offices, engineering staff, lasers, waterjet, CNC equipment, conventional machines and pressbrakes are housed in the two main buildings, within a total of 25,000 square feet of space. The paint line, assembly and welding departments as well as additional office space are in the Phase 3 and Phase 4 spaces totaling 42,500 square feet.

Laser Fabrication & Machine caters to a diverse customer base, which includes major metropolitan area transit authorities for city bus parts, point of purchase display items for Home Depot, Staples and Advance Auto (just to name a few) and appliance parts for brand names such as Whirlpool and Maytag. We have produced several items for the chemical demilitarization operations located around the country. These items have required chemical resistant epoxy paint on the finished product. In addition, we are currently fabricating parts and fixtures for use in the production process at Honda’s Lincoln, Alabama manufacturing facility.
As we move ever further into the 21st Century, Laser Fabrication & Machine Co., Inc. looks forward to continuing our steady growth and maintaining its edge on an increasingly competitive marketplace with state-of-the-art equipment and old-fashioned hard work.
